Sports – Challenging Myself

All my life I’ve loved not only watching but also participating in sports. My father was very athletic and helped to foster my enduring interest in sports, which began with swimming, baseball, and ice-skating as a child.

Participating in sports is not only a way to maintain fitness and have fun but also a context for personal challenge. Running, for example, was never one of my strong suits, but I overcame my weakness in this area to complete 10 New York races in 2007 and New York City Marathon in 2009! Be it a marathon or even skydiving, I rise to the challenge of pursuing whatever piques my interest.

For my professional life, my experience participating in many sports has given me valuable insight for handling live relays and video reports on a wide range of Olympic, international track and field, golf (PGA/LPGA), Major League Baseball, US Open tennis, National Hockey League, and other events.
